Caesarea by the Sea - Located on the Mediterranean, this was once a busy seaport where Herod the Great’s palace stood. Caesarea also boasted of a hippodrome used for chariot races.
Amphitheater at Caesarea by the Sea - It was at this very amphitheater that Herod was struck down by the judgment of God (see Acts 12: 19-23). At Caesarea, the Apostle Paul gave his defense of the Gospel before thousands and from the beautiful shores of Israel that the Gospel went out throughout the world.

Jeret, Come next year! I just got home from this trip and it was AMAZING! Pray about going next year...April 2009. See if God will open doors for you to attend. He did for me! He made sure that in all areas of my life things worked out for me to attend this trip. Israel is beautiful! I am already praying about going again! :)
